Principal's Message

Dear Flushing High School Community,

It is an honor to introduce myself as the principal of Flushing High School. I warmly welcome you to our community. Together, we will remain steadfast in our commitment to centering students and working diligently to provide the best opportunities possible.

Over the past 23 years, my professional journey has been rooted in education and leadership across K–12 and adult learning sectors, spanning public, non-profit, and private organizations in Brooklyn and Queens. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for strong partnerships and the power of shared goals.

Returning to Flushing brings me great joy, especially having grown up not far from our school. In the coming weeks, I look forward to meeting with community members, conducting walkthroughs, connecting with students and families, and immersing myself in the vibrant culture of our school.

As the oldest public high school in New York City, our school stands as a beacon of history, resilience, and academic excellence. It is a privilege to lead a school with such a rich legacy, and I am deeply committed to honoring that legacy while building a future that reflects the hopes and dreams of our students.

As we begin this chapter together, I invite you to join me in shaping a legacy of excellence, equity, and empowerment. Every decision we make, every relationship we nurture, and every opportunity we create contributes to a lasting impact—not just for today’s students, but for generations to come.

Your input and support are sincerely welcomed. I am enthusiastic about all we will accomplish together this school year in service of our students and community.

Warm regards,
Jassica Lee
